Kasumi knives are all hand crafted in Japan, by a 27th generation family of knife makers. All of their knives are 32 layer Damascus steel, and are tempered using a technique that is a guarded secret of the family. The result is a much longer lasting, and sharper edge on the knives.
The handles are made from multiple layers of wood, and take about 3 months to make. They are beautifully balanced and very light on the hand, and also have a smooth and rounded handle.
Kasumi offer a wide range of styles, including pairing, utility, santoku, boning, chefs, bread, carving, nakiri and sashimi knives.
